474 – The Time We Have with Elliot Davis
Elliot is the designer of some of my favorite games, including Project ECCO, which we played on the 400th episode of the show. We sat down for a truly heartbreaking game of The Time We Have, a TTRPG about two brothers on opposite sides of a door, staring down the inevitable amidst a zombie apocalypse.
CW: Grief, trauma, familial terminal illness, body horror
463 – CLASH! with Sabrina Hawthorne
CLASH! Shonen Battle Roleplay is a Tabletop Roleplaying Game love letter to shonen anime such as Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto in which big, bombastic characters grapple with dramatic fights and the dramatic emotions those fights represent.
I sat down with the game’s designer, Sabrina Hawthorne, to see the game in action.
460 – Mirror Match with Jackson Adams
Mirror Match is a role-playing game love letter to fighting games. Players create warriors based on shared themes and origins before facing off in arena combat. Inspired by two-player fighting games, sessions see new characters constantly enter the fray and the game provides scaffolding to create your own universe of mad ninja, shotgun-toting wizards, dragon-gods, and more. All of those characters will face off in the viscera-soaked court of Bloody Mary and only you can decide how they’ll fare in her wicked gaze.
I sat down with the game’s designer, Jackson Adams, to see the game in action.
455 – Wandering Blades with Daniel Kwan
I sit down with Daniel Kwan, designer of the game (and returning guest!), to discover why the game is “a love letter to violence.”
452 – Between the Skies with Huffa
Between the Skies is a cosmic fantasy game of travel and exploration across endless worlds, packed with procedures, tables, and inspiration for hundreds of weird, wonderful adventures through the cosmos.
I sat down with the game’s author, Huffa, to explore what makes the game so special (through the eyes of professional wrestling heel turned cosmic crusader “The Guilty Pleasure” Desmond LeFleur).
449 – It Takes Two to Tango with Mark Vertlib
It Takes Two to Tango is a 2-player, rules-lite, GM-less tabletop RPG about rival spies sent on a mission together. Two rival spies. Two rival agencies. One major job. And unfortunately, one way through the door: Pretending to be a married couple.
I sat down with the game’s designer, Mark Vertlib, for a superheroic espionage-filled game to see how it all works.

440 – Demonic Deals with Morgan Eilish
Demonic Deals is a two-player TTRPG about a summoner, a demon, and a contract. You want something. The demon wants your soul.
I sat down with the game’s designer, Morgan Eilish, to get a taste of the game in action.
